How Virtual Pelvic
Physical Therapy Works

A clear look at virtual pelvic floor PT

What to Expect During a Virtual Session

During a typical virtual session, we:

  • Discuss your symptoms, concerns, and goals

  • Identify patterns in daily habits that may be contributing to your symptoms

  • Assess breathing, posture, strength and movement through guided observation

  • Practice targeted exercises and coordination strategies

  • Provide real-time feedback and adjustments

  • Answer questions and explain what’s happening in your body

  • Develop a clear plan for what to do between sessions

Sessions are private, fully clothed, and one-on-one.

Who Virtual Pelvic Therapy is Best For

Virtual care is well-suited for many common pelvic floor concerns, including:

  • Bladder leaks with coughing, sneezing, or exercise

  • Urgency or frequent trips to the bathroom

  • Pregnancy-related pelvic floor concerns

  • Postpartum recovery needs

  • Pelvic pressure or heaviness

  • Pain with intimacy

  • Core weakness or diastasis

  • Symptoms that come and go or feel hard to explain

  • Anxiety about in-person pelvic exams

If your situation would benefit more from in-person care, you’ll be guided on appropriate next steps.

What Virtual Pelvic Floor Physical Therapy Requires

Virtual pelvic floor therapy is designed to be simple and accessible. Most women already have everything they need.

All you need is:

  • A smartphone, tablet, or computer with a camera

  • A stable internet connection

  • A quiet, private space where you feel comfortable moving and talking

  • Comfortable clothing that allows easy movement

  • Willingness to learn about your body and practice between sessions

That’s it — no special setup, equipment, or prior experience needed.

What Virtual Pelvic Physical Therapy Does NOT Require

Virtual care does NOT require:

  • An internal exam

  • Removing clothing—you remain fully dressed during all sessions

  • Special equipment or devices

  • Being fit, flexible, or athletic

  • A large home gym or dedicated workout space

  • Prior experience with pelvic floor exercises

  • Perfect privacy or silence at home

  • Travel, parking, or waiting rooms

You simply need a willingness to participate and learn.

Getting Started With Virtual Pelvic Physical Therapy

Starting is easy—we begin with a conversation during a free consultation to understand what you're experiencing and determine whether pelvic PT is right for you.

During this conversation, you can ask questions, learn what to expect, and decide how you'd like to move forward.

If you’re ready to schedule, you can book a virtual appointment directly:

Still unsure whether therapy is the right next step for you? A short, private quiz can help you determine whether pelvic floor therapy may be right for you.
